Historic Capitol Dome Restoration
Tallahassee’s most photographed landmark, the Old Capitol Building, originally constructed in 1845 and backdrop to countless governors inaugurations, marches and political campaigns received its first copper dome and cupola face lift in over 110 years. The improvements consisted of a re-skin to the dome and cupola roofs which consisted of copper. Protective coatings were applied to the ornate structure to alleviate water leaks that were damaging the interior of the building.
